vivo X500 Pro Max is no longer just a rumor

As the summer months approach and the second half of the year begins, the period of new flagship launches is taking shape as well. The X500 series will arrive before the end of 2026 (certainly in China), and this time there will be an unprecedented addition. vivo X500 Pro Max has been certified and is no longer just a rumor: the Pro Max fever has now infected everyone!

The new smartphone has been certified by GSMA with its name commercial name. vivo X500 Pro Max will arrive officially; furthermore it will debut globally, although it remains to be seen which markets will be interested. At the time of writing, the manufacturer’s series has reached four certified smartphones, all certified:

• X500e
• X500
• X500 Pro
• X500 Pro Max

Therefore the Pro Max variant will not replace the usual Pro model, but will serve as an additional addition. The X300 X300 was launched last October in China and in Italy, so it is very likely that this is also the release period for the next generation of top models. However there are rumors of an earlier launch in September.

The next addition will then be vivo X500 Ultra: the Camera Phone is planned for the first quarter of 2027, although some rumors suggest the debut could come earlier (toward the end of the year, similar to what happened with Xiaomi’s latest Ultra).

What do we know about the new Pro Max

Returning to the vivo X500 Pro Max, the flagship should offer an AMOLED display of 6.8″/6.9″ with 2K resolution and boast the upcoming Dimensity 9600 and a 7,000 mAh battery.

The usual insider Digital Chat Station claims that the entire X500 series will be based on a 50 MP main sensor with a size of 1/1.28-inch, perhaps the Sony LYT-838. Furthermore the flagship would be the only one with LOFIC technology, the same used by Xiaomi 17 Ultra to improve exposure handling and dynamic range.

Also present in the lineup is a  200 MP periscope telephoto lens  and a sensor multispectral.
