Samsung’s mid-range lineup is now missing only one model, and the latest rumors try to settle the question. We’re talking about unofficial press renders and full spec details that help sketch a complete picture of what to expect from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A27. The budget phone seems imminent and, given the volume of details, a launch in June can’t be ruled out.
As hinted above, those reported by the source would be unofficial renders, leaked thanks to a leak. No reconstructions, therefore, but the supposed press images of the device. The new Samsung Galaxy A27 features a design in line with the rest of the series, this time with a punch-hole for the selfie camera.
Certainly a more refined and premium design compared to the Galaxy A26, which distances itself from the predecessor’s cheap styling. Spending less doesn’t necessarily mean less style, right?
The device is expected in three colors – pink, black and blue – while the differences between old and new include several aspects. First of all, no more Exynos; the new chipset is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with 6/8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
La micro SD slot disappears, a notable omission for this price range; yet the sacrifice doesn’t seem to have contributed to any improvement. The battery remains at 5,000 mAh, charging stays at 25W, and the display is still the 6.7″ AMOLED from the predecessor.
At most, the ultra-wide sensor and the selfie camera undergo a downsizing, moving from 8 MP to 5 MP and from 13 MP to 12 MP. The rest of the camera department remains unchanged, with a 50 MP main sensor (with OIS) and the 2 MP macro.
The software takes a step forward with Android 16 and the latest One UI 8.5. Still, the allegedly Samsung Galaxy A27 specifications outline a picture almost unchanged, even worse in some cases but with the addition of a Snapdragon SoC.
