Honor Win Turbo official: 10,000 mAh gaming phones no longer run out!

The Chinese manufacturer has dived headlong into the flagship Gaming Phone segment, with the series Honor WIN. The first two models of the family look to the premium and high-end tier, while the latest addition lowers the aim to conquer also the mid-range category.

The new Honor WIN Turbo is actually a rebrand of Power 2: on one hand it’s a wasted opportunity not to have a brand-new device, but on the other it’s clear that gaming devices pull harder than battery phones.

Compared to the other WIN-branded models, this time there is no cooling fan: however the device offers a liquid cooling system with a vapor chamber. The real strength is the autonomy since we are talking about the third device in the series equipped with a colossal 10,000 mAh battery: the Chinese company promises over 14 hours of gaming and 22 hours of video playback.

To fully exploit the enormous capacity of the Honor WIN Turbo there is support for both 80W fast charging and 27W reverse charging. Thanks to the latter the phone can comfortably serve as a power bank.

Despite the battery size, the thickness remains compact: 7.98 mm, with a weight of about 216 grams. The AMOLED display is perfect for gaming, with its 6.79″ diagonal, 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness record (8,000 nit), sunlight will never be a problem, not even at the beach).

Just like its Power 2 cousin, the WIN TURBO is powered by the Dimensity 8500 Elite with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1. The camera setup is modest: there’s a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, along with a 5 MP secondary lens and a 16 MP selfie camera.

The price starts from 3,299 yuan, about €417 at the current exchange rate, for the 12/256 GB version. At the moment the launch has taken place only in China: who knows, perhaps if the series achieves a monstrous success the West could also get its own Honor Win.
