Xiaomi Mijia Introduces a New Ultra-Slim 10 kg Washing Machine

Now that Xiaomi has brought its major appliances to Italy (with the washer-dryer and refrigerator), looking at the products launched in China takes on a completely different meaning. If before they looked at these additions to the brand’s ecosystem with the hope of a launch here, now things are different and the devices announced at home could very well make their way into Europe.

The latest Xiaomi Mijia release is the Ultra-Slim Washing Machine 10 Kg, a smart washing machine characterized by an ultra-slim body and a high capacity – perfect for compact living spaces that demand a little extra attention.

As anticipated above, the new Xiaomi Mijia washing machine features an ultra-slim structure of only 516 mm: it fits perfectly standard 600 mm kitchen cabinets, leaving a minimum gap of 15 mm. The design is characterized by the company’s usual minimalist touch: the shell is white with a large black porthole, while for the controls there is a rotary knob next to a panel to display the timer and active features.

The device offers a 525 mm drum while the water flow system has been designed to quickly dissolve the detergent and improve penetration into the fabric fibers (ensuring a complete rinse with no residue).

The washing machine supports 24 wash programs, for a multitude of needs: it’s suitable for delicate materials such as wool and silk, and it includes features designed for down jackets or sportswear. Xiaomi promises deep removal of 35 types of stains, including mud, oil, coffee and makeup.

To achieve this, it uses a 1,500W motor with a maximum spin speed of 1,200 rpm, all with an advanced impact absorption system and seven-layer acoustic insulation to ensure low-noise operation. In addition to high-temperature washing, there is also a steam sterilization mode at 95°C to effectively eliminate bacteria and mites.

Obviously we are dealing with a smart model integrated with HyperOS Connect: the device can be controlled via smartphone and tablet (thanks to the Xiaomi app), supports voice commands via the XiaoAI assistant, is equipped with sensors for intelligent load detection, and more besides.

The new 10 kg Ultra-Slim Xiaomi Mijia washing machine debuts in China at a price of 1,199 yuan, about €151 at current exchange rates: keep your fingers crossed and let’s hope to see it in our part of the world as well!
