OPPO Find X9 Ultra Teardown: This video reveals the secrets under the shell

The debut of OPPO Find X9 Ultra has generated great interest not only for its photographic capabilities, but above all for the incredible engineering work required to contain hardware of such magnitude in a manageable camera body. A recent detailed teardown video has revealed how the company managed to balance components of generous size with a design that does not compromise ergonomics.

Starting from aesthetics and durability, the variant in the elegant colorway Tundra Umber combines a gray-green eco-leather chassis with a camera module integrated in glass and aluminum.

The internal structure follows a three-stage layout, reinforced by numerous glue points and screws to ensure high rigidity and total protection against water and dust, certified to standards IP66, IP68 and IP69.

The real technical challenge, however, lies in the integration of the camera system. To avoid the device becoming too thick, OPPO adopted a motherboard design with a large perforated area—the largest ever seen in a smartphone—allowing the main sensors to sink toward the display and touch the vapor chamber directly.

This approach allows the massive main sensor and the two periscope modules to sit, among which the 10x unit placed at the top stands out, without compromising system stability.

Heat dissipation has also been taken to a new level: in addition to a graphite film, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is protected by an innovative phase-change thermal paste that delays the rapid rise in temperature during gaming sessions or high-definition video recording.

Beyond power, supported by LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1, Find X9 Ultra adopts a 7,050 mAh battery. Despite the nearly 1,000 mAh increase over the previous generation, thickness remains compact thanks to the use of silicon-carbon materials with high energy density.

The 100W fast charging goes from 1% to 100% in just 45 minutes. Finally, the OLED display produced by BOE offers a 2K resolution with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness that reaches 3,600 nits, incorporating an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
