A photo published by one of the executives confirms the existence and name of the new Huawei AI Glasses: the Chinese brand’s smart glasses are now a reality, with only the debut remaining. However, an aura of mystery still lingers, even if the first sample shot with the device seems to offer quality not bad at all.
The Chinese tech giant is no stranger to the smart glasses sector: recall the collaboration with Gentle Monster for its audio glasses, but over the years Huawei has also launched the gaming headset VR Glass 6DoF and Vision Glass (with a micro OLED display capable of projecting a virtual screen up to 120″ inches). A respectable track record that will soon be enriched with a new addition, now officially confirmed.
He Gang, CEO of the Consumer Business Group, published the first photographic sample taken with the Huawei AI Glasses. It is a pair of smart glasses with artificial intelligence features and an integrated camera, but for now it is not known whether it will also include a display.
On the software side HarmonyOS is expected: no Android XR, a direct consequence of the US ban that has now left the Chinese manufacturer almost completely independent.
For now the design of the glasses has not been revealed but we expect a lightweight solution available in various colors (Streamer Silver, Titanium Silver Gray and Modern Black). According to the latest leaks, the release is set for 21 April or, in any case, during the first half of 2026.
