In January Apple launched its Second-generation AirTag, a novelty particularly awaited by enthusiasts. The design remains almost unchanged, while the internal changes allow overcoming the limits of the first chapter. In these hours the gadget has received the update to version 3.0.45, with the usual bug fixes and unspecified improvements. However, there is also room for a safeguard dedicated to the device’s anti-stalking functionality.
nnnnThe changelog of the AirTag 2 update notes a small novelty: the sound for unwanted tracking has been modified to allow easier identification of an unknown AirTag around the user. Clearly this is a measure designed to improve the tracker’s anti-stalking functionality.
nnnnThe Apple gadget has been greeted with enthusiasm: small, stylish and with long battery life, it is a valuable ally to hang near the keys, leave on the edge, or in the wallet (and not only). The flip side is that some might think of using it as a tracking tool towards others.
