In November, Xiaomi’s brand partner launched the new top-of-the-line models in the POCO F8 series, and now the focus shifts to the mid-range. The X series becomes X Pro, offering flagship performance, huge batteries, premium design, and a complete all-around experience starting from around €300. Here are all the updates for POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, now available in Italy with an initial discount and a premium trade-in value.
The new series features a minimalist premium design: the POCO X8 Pro Max has a metal frame and a glass-fiber back, while the POCO X8 Pro stands out for ultra-thin bezels and a high screen-to-body ratio, in a compact, portable body.
Both models feature camera decorations inspired by racing tracks, integrated with a dynamic RGB light that offers customizable lighting effects in response to notifications, charging, gaming, music and camera activity. The phones are equipped with a protection Gorilla Glass 7i and a full suite of dust and water resistance certifications IP66 and IP68.
X8 Pro Max is equipped with a display of 6.83", while POCO X8 Pro is equipped with a panel of 6.59": both reach a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nit at 25% of the screen for excellent outdoor visibility. Based on flagship M10 panels that integrate a brand-new red luminescent material, the entire range improves luminous efficiency for brighter images while reducing energy consumption.
The series also features the PWM dimming at 3,840 Hz and has earned three TÜV Rheinland certifications for eye protection. With an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, the X8 Pro Max also offers an extremely fast and secure unlocking experience. Complementing the display, the Pro Max model is equipped with dual symmetric 1115F speakers with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos.
Moreover, it is the first smartphone launched globally with Dimensity 9500s, the latest flagship chipset from MediaTek with an AnTuTu score of 3,085,998. The younger brother debuts with Dimensity 8500 Ultra; both offer GPUs with hardware ray tracing support and mount
RAM LPDDR5X at 9,600 Mbps and UFS 4.1 storage.
The WildBoost Optimization technology improves the gaming experience by delivering more stable frame rates and lower energy consumption. A liquid cooling system with a vapor chamber is included, while on the battery side the POCO X8 Pro Max reaches a peak of 8,500 mAh. With the X8 Pro it drops to 6,500 mAh, in both cases with 100W fast charging and 27W reverse charging support.
Concludiamo con il comparto fotografico, basato su sensori principali da 50 MP: Sony IMX882 per il modello Pro e Light Fusion 600 per il Pro Max, con stabilizzazione ottica e un ultra-wide per completare l’esperienza.
The new POCO X8 Pro Max debuts in White, Black and Blue colors, in configurations from 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB, with prices starting from €429.9. As for the smaller POCO X8 Pro, the mid-range arrives in White, Black and Mint Green in three configurations 8/256 GB, 8/512 GB and 12/512 GB and starting price of €309.9.
Both smartphones are launching with a €20 discount and a coupon offering a 50% reduction for the purchase of a 67W, 90W or 120W charger. Finally, only for the Pro Max version is a €50 bonus for extra trade-in value.
The POCO X8 Pro series is shipped with an exclusive package of premium perks, including a 3-month Spotify Premium trial and a 2-month YouTube Premium trial.
