Vivo is preparing to expand its high-end lineup with the debut of the new X300 Ultra and X300s, devices aimed at dramatically raising photographic quality and battery life.
The company has also begun to show the first shots captured with the new flagship and to detail the brand-new color science that will allow image rendering superior to the past.
According to information leaked on Chinese social media and partially confirmed by the company executives, the official unveiling in China is scheduled for March 30, with the sale opening set for April 3. Alongside the new smartphones, the arrival on the market of the new tablet Vivo Pad 6 Pro is also expected.
Product manager Han Boxiao has revealed details of the Blueprint Native Color system, a software and hardware technology built from the ground up to ensure an extremely natural color reproduction.
This architecture is based on the long experience the company has accumulated in imaging and represents a complete reconstruction of their approach to image rendering. The system aims to return authentic tones and improved light quality, preserving details in bright and dark areas without resorting to visual artifacts.
Portrait photographs, in particular, will benefit from very realistic skin textures. This result is made possible by the introduction of the new dynamic compression algorithm Smooth EV, capable of reassembling multi-frame HDR data at the exact moment the user presses the shutter.
The Blueprint color model, available on both upcoming smartphones, was designed to imitate color variations exactly as perceived by the human eye, delivering a professional appearance that avoids the excessive processing typical of artificial HDR.
The X300 Ultra model positions itself as the absolute flagship of the entire range. The camera system, developed once again in collaboration with Zeiss, showcases impressive technical specifications.
Rumors suggest the presence of a 200 MP main sensor paired with a periscope telephoto also 200 MP.
This configuration would make the Vivo X300 Ultra the first smartphone on the market to feature a dual sensor with this resolution, placing it in direct competition with the market’s best.
To support these photographic performances there is a hardware platform powered by the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, backed by a massive 7000 mAh battery with wired and wireless fast charging.
While the Ultra version concentrates every effort on maximizing pure performance, the X300s follows a slightly different path, geared toward longevity and maximum smoothness.
This device will integrate a slightly larger battery, at 7100 mAh, paired with a display featuring a 144 Hz refresh rate. Data processing will be handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, while maintaining a respectable camera system.
Memory options for both will go up to configurations of 16 GB RAM and 1 TB of storage. Regarding the aesthetic finishes, the Ultra variant will preserve subtle tones such as black, silver, and green, while the X300s will broaden the color offering by introducing options in purple and white.
