No Revolution for Galaxy Z Flip 8: The Latest Certification Reveals Charging

Samsung’s next big event will take place in the summer, so the months ahead before the new foldables arrive are quite long. Nevertheless we have already had a broad overview of what we can expect from Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8. Yes, it’s true, these are rumors: yet even at this stage people are already talking about a device that does not aim to overhaul things and should offer a fairly conservative approach.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, another piece to the leaks: after the battery, charging also disappoints

The latest news about the clamshell foldable concerns fast charging. Previously, battery details emerged, a dual-cell unit that should reach 4,300 mAh (in line with the current model). If you were hoping for good news about charging improvements, you too will be disappointed.

The 3C certification shows a unit with a maximum power of 9V and 1.67A, equal to 25W. So the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 would not introduce anything on this front either, aligning again with Z Flip 7. That said, we are talking about wired charging and there are still no details on wireless charging; perhaps it will exceed the current 15W, but to know more we will have to wait for further leaks.

The foldable’s updates seem to be more structural than technical, with reduced thickness and weight – without neglecting the addition of a refreshed SoC, with the Exynos 2600. This time the real surprise could be the Galaxy Z Fold 8: the book-style foldable should finally have a larger battery, five years after the last upgrade.
