The announcement of the new REDMAGIC tablet arrived somewhat unexpectedly: probably the company was prompted by the presence at the fair of Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 (coming Global soon and also in China, as Legion Y700).

The device will arrive domestically as REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro but it is likely that it will appear in Italy under a different name. The predecessor debuted globally as REDMAGIC Astra, however there are no rumors about it.

The first official teaser simply announces the launch of the new tablet, which will arrive ‘soon’ and will have a compact design. On the Chinese social media Weibo, the company emphasizes that the release will come soon but there are no indications about a date.

Meanwhile, the first leak details are also emerging: the tablet is expected to offer a 9″ OLED display, a liquid cooling system in combination with a fan and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. In short, a real beast in a compact form factor!
