OPPO’s new smartwatch is confirmed; will it be the brand’s first titanium watch?

The Asian company has officially begun revealing the first details of its upcoming wrist device, confirming the imminent debut of OPPO Watch X3 on the Chinese market. The presentation of this awaited device will take place in conjunction with the launch of the group’s new foldable smartphone, OPPO Find N6.

Thanks to a series of previews disseminated directly by the company’s leadership and increasingly dense rumors, a fairly clear picture of the product’s aesthetic and technical characteristics is already possible, which seems to aim at materials of the highest quality and advanced functionalities for sports enthusiasts and outdoor activity.

Promotional images published through the Weibo platform highlight a design oriented toward durability and longevity. The promotional messages explicitly refer to a strongly protective structure, suggesting the use of titanium alloys for the bezel or main structural components.

This choice would give the device not only an elegant appearance, but also the resilience necessary to face outdoor environments.

The short preview videos circulating online support this adventurous nature, showing an interface capable of providing essential metrics for hikes, such as step counting and altitude measurement. The watch thus presents itself as an extremely reliable companion for daily training.

Technical specifications and hardware details

From a technical standpoint, rumors from sources close to the manufacturing industry outline a decidedly interesting device. The unit is expected to feature 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.

Powering the entire architecture would be a 632 mAh battery, neatly integrated into a body weighing approximately 68 g in total.

An aspect of strong interest could be represented by the charging system: data emerging during the Chinese radio certification procedures for the model OWW261 indicate the possible adoption of a USB Type-C port, a decidedly unusual detail that would replace the traditional proprietary magnetic connectors, ensuring greater practicality.

In addition, connectivity via eSIM would ensure independence from the smartphone, managed by a dedicated chip to make calls and browse autonomously.

Expected versions and international debut

The aesthetic offering should include four color variants, available in black, silver, titanium and orange.

There are persistent rumors of a possible smaller version, which could appear under the name OPPO Watch X3 mini, although information on this is still somewhat fragmented.

Regarding the timeline, the official Asia-based announcement is rumored to be around March 17, awaiting definitive communications from the manufacturer.

Looking at the global market, another notable detail emerges: a twin watch with support for 10 W fast charging has recently obtained the necessary certifications for distribution.

According to analysts, this model is nothing more than the international translation of the OPPO device, which in Western markets will likely arrive under the name of OnePlus Watch 4.
