The house of Pete Lau has unveiled the OnePlus Nord 6: the new member of the lineup has a release date and is very close (although for the moment this concerns the Indian market). The company has also confirmed the design and colorways of the mid-range, along with a series of specifications and features.
The Nord 6 event is set for April 7: as noted above it concerns India (despite the ongoing crisis in the air) but the device will certainly reach our markets as well. We await further details and, in the meantime, take a first look at its aesthetics.
The phone features a dual-camera setup flanked by an LED flash and sensors, in a Squircle module. The gray-silver colorway includes details that nod to gaming phones, while the green and black variants boast a clean, monochrome chassis.
In addition to revealing the release date, OnePlus has also confirmed several features of the new Nord family model. First and foremost, it will house the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a mid-to-high-end 4 nm chipset with a main Cortex-X4 core up to 3.21 GHz.
Like the flagship OnePlus 15, we will have a large OLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate for maximum fluidity (especially for gaming), and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The previews also continue for the battery: as promised by the leaks, it will be a colossal 9,000 mAh unit, for about two and a half days of autonomy.
At least 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage will be present. All things considered, it seems the rebrand hypothesis is now certain (also seen in the design): the OnePlus Nord 6 is the international version of OnePlus Turbo 6, presented in China in January.
