OnePlus Nord 6: the sale packaging “confirms” the super battery

The Chinese company has confirmed the global launch of the next smartphone in the Nord lineup. A date is still missing, yet there are many details and the debut is now very close: a leak photo adds new pieces, capturing the alleged sale packaging of OnePlus Nord 6 and perhaps offering a clue about a color coming.

The image above previews the packaging of the next Nord mid-range: the box features the stunning color Blue Marble, a cyan shade that harkens back to the very first OnePlus Nord (launched in 2020). The new arrival is likely to surface in a similar guise as well, but for now there are no confirmations beyond the packaging.

On it are listed some technical specifications, such as the presence of a Snapdragon 8-series chipset and an AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate at 165 Hz. It also mentions a large battery, a whopping 9,000 mAh: OnePlus Nord 6 will thus be the brand’s first Global model with Battery Phone ambitions.

The shot “confirms” also the camera setup, based on a Sony 50 MP sensor with OIS and a 32 MP autofocus selfie camera. The details don’t end here: the device has been spotted again on Geekbench, now with the code CPH2793 (likely referring to the Indian variant of the phone).

Again, the presence of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 emerges, a solution aimed at the upper-mid range with a clock speed of 3.21 GHz, paired with 12 GB of RAM and Android 16 on the software side. In addition to this model there are rumors about the existence of OnePlus Nord 6 CE; the two phones are expected to be the Western versions of OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V, announced in China earlier this year.
