All attention is focused on the upcoming smartphones of the Honor 600 series (already making headlines in various leaks), but in the meantime a new affordable tablet designed with a nod to younger users makes its appearance. Honor Pad X10 is official in China, but given past cases it’s not to be ruled out that it could arrive here as well. Waiting to learn more about an eventual Global version, here are all the details on specs, price and release — for now only for the Chinese market.
The new Honor tablet presents itself as a balanced and affordable solution, with a large 11″ LCD display diagonally, resolution 1.920 x 1.200 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The panel is certified for low blue light emission, while the e-book mode is designed for users who use the device for reading.
Under the hood beats the Snapdragon 680, an aging SoC with a maximum frequency of 2.4 GHz (with Cortex-A73 cores). The Honor Pad X10 is powered by a battery of 10,100 mAh with 15W charging, while the camera setup is fairly basic, with 5 MP sensors for both the selfie camera and the main camera.
The onboard software is Android 16 with MagicOS 10 and thanks to the optimizations of the latter, the device’s nature emerges, at least with regard to China. The tablet offers space designed for young students, with a distraction-free mode, parental controls and various educational resources.
In short, it is a device perfect for students as well as for users looking for a terminal designed for both entertainment and simple productivity — with a slim profile (7.25 mm), a weight around 499 grams, and a robust SGS five-star certified chassis.
The starting price of the Honor Pad X10 is about €162 at the current exchange rate, currently available only in China. The predecessor arrived in Italy, so it’s not to be ruled out that the new tablet could also find space in Europe and here.
