Honor Magic 9 Pro will aim for the top, with LOFIC HDR and a dual 200 MP camera

With the launch of the top-of-the-line models in the Magic family, eyes are now on the new foldable and on the 600 series – the upcoming additions to Honor’s smartphone lineup. However leaks still look further ahead, toward the second half of the year, with the first rumors about the cameras of Honor Magic 9 Pro. If you think it’s not possible to do better, it’s likely the Chinese manufacturer will change your mind thanks to its new system with dual 200 MP sensor setup.

Honor Magic 9 Pro with a 200 MP dual camera: will it be the next trend in camera phones?

The latest news comes from the usual Digital Chat Station: the Chinese insider claims that the next flagship will raise the bar with a main camera of 200 MP, accompanied by a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens. Magic 8 Pro, launched recently, is equipped with a triple 50 + 50 + 200 MP configuration, so its successor could go quite a bit further.

Currently the company is reportedly testing two main sensors, both from OmniVision (certainly with customizations). The Asian leaker talks of a prototype with OV52B, a 1/1.3″ sensor, and of an alternative version with OVB0D. This second solution offers sizes of 1/1.12″ and supports the LOFIC HDR technology (seen recently on Xiaomi 17 Ultra).

So for the moment there are still doubts, although the presence of the dual 200 MP sensor should be considered “likely” (we’re still talking rumors).

Ma quali saranno le altre novit della serie Honor Magic 9? Al momento i dettagli sono ancora scarni ma da alcune settimane si parla gi delle batterie di nuova generazione. La serie top dovrebbe fare un balzo in avanti, con unit da 8.000 mAh e 9.000 mAh.

Chiaramente a bordo ci sare0 lo Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 mentre le dimensioni dei display potrebbero cambiare. Si vocifera di formati differenti, ossia da 6,36″ e 6,85″ di diagonale contro i 6,58″ e 6,71″ di Magic 8 e 8 Pro. Comunque ci sare0 da attendere per il lancio: in Cina il debutto dovrebbe avvenire per ottobre, quindi ci separano ancora parecchi mesi.
