Pixel Meteo updates with several hard-to-miss features

Users of Google Home devices can rely on a dedicated app exclusively for weather forecasts, clearly distinct from the browser’s built-in search page.

Pixel Meteo offers indeed a complete and in-depth experience, showing not only temperatures, but also hourly details on precipitation, wind speed and direction, sunrise and sunset times, humidity levels, the UV index and an interactive radar-like map.

Recently, the development team has started rolling out a significant update that aims to greatly improve the user interface through visually impactful aesthetic and functional changes.

Pixel Meteo, brighter colors and sharper contrasts for optimal readability

The latest version of the application, identified with the build 1.1.20251230.875325825, introduces a color palette decidedly more pronounced for all icons depicting weather conditions.

This choice applies uniformly across all screens, regardless of whether you are consulting real-time data, forecasts for upcoming days, or the history of previous days. The company has optimized the symbols to increase the level of contrast and the overall readability of the display.

These measures make the software significantly more accessible, offering concrete and immediate support even to users with visual impairments. Alongside the new colors, the interface has adopted a clean white background that ensures a visually very clean appearance, helping to further highlight the essential information on screen compared to the past.

A New Graphic Look for Weather Conditions

Although the geometric silhouettes of the symbols have remained entirely unchanged, the introduction of stronger tones facilitates immediate understanding of the climate both in the app and in the related home screen modules.

Nights are represented by a crescent moon in a deep blue, while heat waves are indicated by a thermometer with the mercury column pushed upward, placed in front of a bright red sun.

Cloudy days feature a yellow sun next to a white cloud, while strong storms are graphically rendered with blue raindrops and a red lightning bolt tearing through light clouds.

For winter, snowfall is indicated by descending black asterisks, complemented by black curved lines on the sides when accompanied by strong wind gusts.
