The instant camera series continues to evolve since its original launch in 1998, embracing the technologies and trends of the moment. Fujifilm has recently unveiled its latest novelty, the instax mini 13.
This new model has been designed to put creativity and self-expression at the center of the frame. The brand presents it asa call to express yourself, to play with light and to capture the unrepeatable moments with an unmistakable style.
The big novelty of this edition is the introduction of the self-timer function, which allows you to set a timer of 2 or 10 seconds. This addition enables you to be part of your own art, whether it’s a group selfie or a hands-free artistic shot.
To facilitate operation, the box includes an angle adjustment accessory. This component allows you to easily position the camera to achieve a perfect framing.
As stated by Shin Udono, Senior Vice President of Imaging Solutions at Fujifilm Europe, the new self-timer feature offers even more freedom. For many users, in fact, this range represents their first encounter with film photography, and the company’s aim is to encourage people to experiment and have fun with instant photography.
From a design perspective, the camera retains a playful spirit, sporting a soft aesthetic and a pop design, enriched by a sleek metallic-silver logo.
The colors planned for the market debut are Dreamy Purple, Frost Blue, Candy Pink, Lagoon Green and Clay White.
The brand has chosen to maintain the features that have made the mini line beloved. So we find the built-in selfie mirror next to the lens and automatic exposure, which adjusts brightness and flash.
The Close-Up mode also returns, designed for close-up shots, where parallax correction kicks in to align the viewfinder and the lens, producing more centered photos.
The experience also expands through new physical accessories and digital experiences. Alongside the camera, coordinated cases will be launched and a new film named mini instax Pastel Galaxy.
These films, available in packs of ten shots, feature a fun cosmic theme with glossy and sparkling decorations, paired with colors that add a touch of freshness to the prints.
The software side receives new and improved features via the free app instax UP!. The program allows users to scan, store, and organize their photos digitally, regardless of film type or camera used.
The new version integrates AI to improve scan accuracy, recognizing the images against backgrounds or other extraneous content to achieve more accurate results.
Consumers will see the debut of the new Fujifilm instax mini 13 starting from the end of June 2026.
Regarding the sale prices, the company has announced that they will be officialised only at the moment of actual market release.
