February 28 – according to leaks so far – will be the day of the Xiaomi 17 series, and yet the real mystery is represented by the new mid-range flagships. The T series could arrive quite a bit earlier than usual and now emerges another piece of evidence in favor of this theory: Xiaomi 17T has been certified with its commercial name and the model number hides the secret of its release.
The next smartphone from Lei Jun’s house appeared with the code 2602DPT53G, already known but this time enriched with a new detail. In addition to the numbers and letters, the certification explicitly cites Xiaomi 17T: its existence is confirmed, a few days after that of Xiaomi 17T Pro.
Both smartphones are now close to debut and it is precisely the model number that offers clues. Usually Xiaomi’s classification starts with year and month of release for each product: so 2602 indicates the phones are ready for launch (February 2026), but in this case there is a clarification to make.
