Google Pixel 10a will be the perfect Valentine’s Day gift in this freshly leaked color

If you were looking for a Valentine’s Day gift idea, or simply wanted a smartphone in a color that’s decidedly out of the ordinary, Google could have the ideal surprise in store.

The latest rumors suggest that the Pixel 10a launch is imminent, expected right around mid-February, and while the technical specifications don’t promise radical changes compared to the predecessor, it’s the aesthetics that will catch the eye with a new, bold shade that seems made to stand out.

The real standout in this wave of rumors is the new colorway named “Berry” (at the opening). According to the leaked renders, sent anonymously to the Android Headlines site and subsequently upscaled by PhoneArena for clarity, we are looking at a bright and bold pink.

This shade appears as a more intense version of the finish “Peony” seen on the Pixel 9a, offering that vibrancy needed to stand out in a market often dominated by black, gray and white shells.

Alongside the new color and the classics Obsidian (a very dark gray) and Fog (beige), the color range should also include a Lavender variant.

The color narrative has become richer in recent hours thanks to another leak spread by the well-known insider Evan Blass. A series of official-looking images shows the Pixel 10a in a tone that leans decisively toward blue-violet, very similar to the colorway “Indigo” that debuted on the standard Pixel 10 last year.

This discovery surprised many, as previous rumors spoke insistently of a “Lavender” described as a delicate violet.

It is plausible that there was a simple terminology swap in the early rumor stages and that what we thought was Lavender is actually this deep Indigo.

These images show a device that, beyond color, maintains a conservative approach, highlighting software features now iconic like Gemini Live and the Hold for Me feature, confirming Google’s AI ecosystem integration even in the mid-range.

Beyond color considerations, the Pixel 10a seems to aim at confirming the merit of the Pixel 9a project by keeping much of its hardware architecture.

Those expecting substantial differences might be disappointed, but the specifications remain solid for the category. The device should mount a 6.3-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness that could reach 2,700 nits.

Under the hood you’ll probably find the proven (and euphemism for “old generation”) Tensor G4 at 4 nm, supported by a 5,100 mAh battery. The camera setup should also rely again on the same 48 MP main sensor.

The only real physical differences seem to come down to a matter of millimeters: the listed dimensions 153.9 x 72.9 x 9 mm indicate a body almost imperceptibly different from the previous model, with bezels that are expected to be slightly thinner to offer a more immersive viewing experience.
