OPPO Find X9 Ultra, display and battery are no longer a secret

As March approaches, tech enthusiasts’ attention is rapidly turning toward China, where the debut of the new OPPO Find X9 Ultra seems imminent as rumors have intensified in recent weeks.

While until recently this was just hearsay, the latest information circulating online has shed light on two fundamental aspects of the user experience: the battery and the display quality, revealing details that confirm the manufacturer’s ambitions.

OPPO Find X9 Ultra, leaked display and battery specifications

One of the most interesting aspects emerging from recent leaks concerns, precisely, the battery. According to sources close to the production chain, the new device should integrate a unit with a capacity of 7,050 mAh.

It would be a substantial upgrade over the predecessor, the Find X8 Ultra which stopped at 6,100 mAh, but a step back compared to the Find X9 Pro with its 7,500 mAh.

This increase isn’t entirely unexpected; as early as last December, Zhou Yibao of OPPO had hinted that the future flagship would surpass the 7,000 mAh threshold, and current data seem to confirm that promise.

Bringing such a capacious cell into a body that must remain manageable represents a notable engineering challenge, but necessary to support next-generation hardware.

Uncertainties about the display frequency

The Find X9 Ultra seems destined to mount an AMOLED panel of 6.82 inches produced by BOE, featuring a 2K resolution.

The leaked information suggests that the company is testing units capable of reaching a refresh rate of 144 Hz, offering extreme fluidity.

However, it is necessary to exercise caution: the same source indicates that the units destined for sale could be limited to 120 Hz.

Regardless of the final frequency, the BOE panel quality is expected to be extremely high, in line with the standards required by a device aiming for the top of the category.

Power and Camera System

Under the hood, the engine powering everything will be, according to rumors, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This processor will have the job of handling a particularly complex and advanced camera system.

The specifications speak of a primary sensor Sony LYT-901 with 200 MP, paired with a periscope telephoto also rated at 200 MP. To complete the picture we find a 50 MP ultrawide and another 50 MP telephoto with 10x optical zoom.

A setup that corners the most demanding photographers, also supported by the possible compatibility with a 300 mm teleconverter kit.

The global launch of the device is expected in a window from April to June, with color variants including black, brown and orange. We just have to wait for the official presentation to see if all the pieces of the mosaic will fall into place.
