OPPO Find X10 Pro Max will be the new flagship to challenge Apple and Xiaomi

Despite the memory shortage issues, the development of the upcoming flagships is progressing at full speed. There are even talks of earlier launches than the usual schedule, a phenomenon that seems to affect several Chinese brands.

Among them is OPPO, with the new flagship series in the Find lineup. But in the future of the Asian manufacturer there could also be a novelty: OPPO Find X10 Pro Max should be the third addition to the series, and it’s not hard to guess who its sworn rivals will be.

The early launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 disrupted the balance last year: the Xiaomi 17 series arrived in China very early while rivals with Dimensity 9500 debuted toward the end of October (like OPPO Find X9).

Things should change with the upcoming MediaTek flagship SoC: the Dimensity 9600 is expected for September (like the Qualcomm rival) and consequently Xiaomi could find itself facing OPPO or vivo.

This wouldn’t be the only battleground: in addition to arriving all in the same period there are rumors of the addition of OPPO Find X10 Pro Max, a clear reference to both the iPhone Pro Max and the future Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Now the insider Digital Chat Station reveals some details about the specs, although for the moment there is still a lot of confusion.

According to the leaker the fate of the Dimensity 9500+ is still uncertain: the usual mid-generation chipset could arrive as usual or be absorbed into the next 9600 series. OPPO would be testing various MediaTek solutions and in the end everything should resolve as follows:

• Find X10 would have the Dimensity 9500+ (or whatever its name is), manufactured at 3 nm;
• Find X10 Pro would be powered by the Dimensity 9600, at 2 nm;
• Find X10 Pro Max would offer the same 9600.

Anyway it’s wise to take everything with caution: there’s still a long way to go until the launch of the company’s next flagship series. We’re still in the thick of the current generation and we eagerly await the release of Find X9 Ultra, Find X9s and the foldable Find N6.
