The month of March will witness the debut of the new OPPO Find N6, the latest-generation foldable flagship — with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The Chinese company has started to heat up the engines with teasers, but the real hype begins to rise thanks to the first live photos, which show a wide display that seems truly crease-free.
The number one enemy of foldable smartphones is always the same: that pesky crease at the center of the display, which despite the evolution of the category has never truly disappeared. At least until now: OPPO Find N6 has been captured live, even inside the production chain, and it seems to have solved this problem.
The leaked shots show a large screen with a punch hole in the upper-right corner (for the internal selfie camera) while the central area appears free of the famous — and hated — crease.
At the moment OPPO has not yet revealed the secrets of its foldable flagship: for now the previews indicate only a redesigned hinge and a titanium alloy structure. Rumors suggest that OPPO Find N6 will use a new ultra-thin glass designed to resist deformations; the result would be a visually pleasing panel and similar to that of a traditional phone (both in appearance and feel).
The launch of Find N6 is expected to take place on March 17, but for now OPPO has not confirmed the date; also it seems the foldable will arrive in Europe. The design was teased by some render leaks while the company has limited itself to just a few details – at the time of writing.
