The details of the upcoming foldable flagship OPPO Find N6 are becoming clearer, and now the first Geekbench results have arrived. What interests us are not the performances — we already know we can expect high performance — but the chipset we’ll find on board.
Benchmarks tease the flagship’s specifications and it seems there will be a surprise: an alternative version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the latest high-end SoC from Qualcomm.
The new foldable flagship has been spotted on Geekbench in recent days, with a version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 never seen before. It is the variant with 7 cores, rather than 8: the same happened with the previous generation, where Qualcomm released an alternative solution designed specifically for foldables and ultrathin devices.
The previous OPPO Find N5 debuted with the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the version SM8750-3-AB and from benchmarks it emerged that the new chapter will also have an alternative SoC.
On paper there is talk of a Performance Core less: the chipset is equipped with two main cores at 4.61 GHz and five Performance Cores up to 3.63 GHz, delivering impressive performance — especially for a foldable phone. Among other features are 16 GB of RAM and Android 16.
The launch of OPPO Find N6 is expected in the coming month, rumor has it on 17 March: the foldable flagship is expected to arrive in Europe as well, at least according to the latest leaks, and should debut in a new orange color (clearly inspired by Cupertino).
