RGB lighting and pure power: the Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 debut is near

The Chinese company has started to tease enthusiasts ahead of the debut of the upcoming compact-format gaming tablet. Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 (Gen 5) is getting closer thanks to the first official image: here’s how the design of the device changes and what we can expect from this generation.

However, there’s a question that arises: will it arrive here as Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 as well, or will we be left empty-handed again?

Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 is on track for release: will it be our Legion Tab Gen 5?

The new incarnation of Lenovo’s gaming tablet changes style with a redesigned camera module. It remains once again a rectangular space with a single 50 MP sensor, but this time the experience is enriched by a customizable RGB light.

The first render shows Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 (Gen 5) in white, but a black variant is expected to be announced as well. Regarding the specs, the company hasn’t spilled yet; leaks mention a flagship SoC Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a sizeable 9,000 mAh battery.

Among other features there would be a compact 8.8″ display with a 3K resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. This is in line with the specs of the previous Y700 Gen 4: indeed, we’re talking about a tablet line with flagship-like details but in a highly portable form factor.

It remains to be seen whether the launch will stay limited to China (as happened with the aforementioned Gen 4) or if the new model will see the light elsewhere too—perhaps as Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5.
