The design of the new model stands out for the use of a titanium alloy for both the case and the bezel, a design choice that helps keep the total weight to just 34.5 grams.

The maximum durability is guaranteed by the adoption of the proprietary Kunlun Glass, positioned to protect a sharp AMOLED display of 1.32″. The screen boasts a brightness capable of reaching up to 3,000 nits to ensure perfect visibility even under direct sunlight.

Ergonomics and comfort during prolonged physical activity have been further improved thanks to the introduction of the new AirDry strap, a accessory designed specifically with raised threads and continuous gaps that maximize airflow and reduce sweat buildup in contact with the skin.

On the navigation and autonomy front, the device makes a leap forward compared to the previous generation. Positioning technology relies on a 3D floating antenna and a intelligent dual-band satellite system (L1+L5), able to track routes with very high precision.

Despite the high performance of the integrated GPS, the battery guarantees up to 32 hours of continuous tracking with maximum precision enabled, an ideal value for ultramarathons and the most demanding sessions.

In standard daily use, autonomy stands at an excellent 14 days, enhanced by the added convenience of wireless charging and the presence of a built-in speaker for communications.

The center of the sports experience revolves around Intelligent Marathon Mode, a true wrist coach that accompanies the user at every moment of the sporting event. The system manages the race calendar, suggests routes and provides precise pacing and real-time fueling strategies, then produces a detailed analysis right after crossing the finish line.

Advanced metrics offer a complete technical snapshot. The software calculates the lactate threshold measurement, running power, recovery time, VO2 Max and overall training load.

Borrowing some valuable medical features from the Huawei Watch D2, the watch also supports the electrocardiograms (ECG) recording and continuous monitoring of heart rate variability (HRV).

High-end features are finally complemented by native support for the offline maps and by a mode dedicated to golfers.

To immediately highlight the purchase, Huawei has also introduced the Health MultiPass program, an initiative that provides users with a rich package of premium subscriptions in a free trial with top-tier partners in the sports sector.

Prices and Promotions

At the moment the European market price is not yet known, however Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 is offered in the UK in Dawn Orange, Dusk Blue and Midnight Black colors at a price of £350.
