In these hours Xiaomi has officially opened registrations for the new beta phase, currently dedicated only to Chinese users. No software version is mentioned, but all signs point to HyperOS 3.1: the mid-cycle update is expected to debut over the course of the next month, with an international rollout to follow.
In a post published on the official social channels, Xiaomi opened the doors to the second beta phase of HyperOS: registrations started today (22 January) and pertain to the brand’s top tier. The second wave of compatible devices will be able to register starting January 30. Below is the list of required smartphones and tablets.

The registered users will receive the beta starting from the indicated date, directly via OTA. The brand does not specify when the stable version will arrive or the release name. Almost certainly this is the HyperOS 3.1 software, with various novelties coming.
The launch would be expected – according to leaks – during February, but with a limitation. Indeed it seems the build will arrive only for smartphones and tablets updated to Android 16; models with HyperOS 3 stuck on Android 15 will not receive the update.
Regarding the Global release, there are currently no details on timing. The new features coming are not yet known, and yet there is talk of a long-discussed addition. The update should finally introduce the iOS-style Recent Apps, a feature requested by users themselves.
