The latest addition to the cameras of the vivo X300 Ultra comes from the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station. According to the leaker, the upcoming Camera Phone will be the first to mount a 5 MP multispectral sensor, a custom solution designed to deliver higher color accuracy, both in photos and videos.
Colors, skin tones, white balance, HDR, night photography, and video consistency across different lighting conditions: these would be the aspects that would see improvements, according to the insider.
This sensor is “smaller” than the main one and the much-talked-about periscopic telephoto (both from 200 MP), but certainly able to make a difference. In our deep dive into the vivo X300 Pro camera the multispectral 2 MP sensor is also mentioned, a significant addition for color fidelity.
Based on what has emerged so far, the vivo X300 Ultra would feature an unprecedented Sony IMX09E 200 MP sensor with a 35 mm focal length, supported by a 200 MP periscopic telephoto lens – with a Samsung HPB custom sensor (the same tele of vivo X300 Pro) – and a 50 MP ultra-wide (Sony LYT-828).
