Samsung: same phone, three different names

Samsung is not new to rebranding practices, i.e., marketing the same device under different names depending on the market or distribution channel.

This trend seems destined to continue and even intensify with the imminent launch of new budget devices.

Samsung will launch the same phone three times with different names

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE

Why should Samsung use three names for the same phone?

The answer often lies in exclusive commercial partnerships, especially in large and competitive markets like India.

It is common for the manufacturer to differentiate the series for major online retailers. In this scenario, it is plausible to suppose that the Galaxy F07e 5G could be destined for exclusive sale via Flipkart, while the Galaxy M17e 5G could land on the virtual shelves of Amazon.

The Galaxy A07 5G model, instead, would represent the “standard” version for the global market or for physical sales channels. Although the names change, the substance remains the same, offering users the same user experience regardless of the label printed on the box.

Under the hood: shared technical specifications

Regardless of the name it takes on the shelves, the technical features outlined by the leaks paint a portrait of a device in the mid-low tier. The front of the device will be dominated by a large PLS LCD display of 6.7 inches with HD+ resolution.

An interesting detail for this price range is the inclusion of a 120 Hz refresh rate, which will ensure smoother visuals during browsing and app usage. The panel design features the classic U-shaped notch to host the front camera.

The heart of this smartphone will be the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a chip capable of delivering 5G connectivity and reliable performance for everyday tasks.

Supporting the processor will be a memory configuration starting from at least 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, fortunately expandable via a microSD slot, a feature always appreciated in this segment.

Battery life, photography and software support

One of the strengths of this device will undoubtedly be its battery life. Samsung has decided to equip the phone with a generous 6,000 mAh battery, capable of delivering long hours of use without the need to resort to the charger. When energy needs refilling, the device will support 25 W charging via the USB Type-C.

The camera setup looks to be essential yet functional, with a rear main sensor of 50 MP, accompanied by a secondary camera of 2 MP, while selfies will rely on an 8 MP sensor.

From a build perspective, the phone should offer IP54 certification for dust and water splash resistance, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric security.

Finally, one aspect that could truly distinguish this smartphone from the competition is software support. It is expected that the device will arrive on the market with Android 16 and preinstalled One UI 8.

Even more surprising is the promise of six generations of Android OS updates, an almost unheard-of longevity for devices in this price range, which would make the investment durable over time.
