Samsung, the World’s First 130-Inch Micro RGB TV Has a Design That Certainly Captures Attention

In the frenetic backdrop of CES 2026, among countless announcements related to artificial intelligence and futuristic presentations, Samsung has once again managed to capture global attention by unveiling a surprise of monumental proportions.

During the event “The First Look“, the South Korean giant unveiled the R95H model, the world’s first 130″ Micro RGB TV.

What immediately strikes about the new R95H is not only the screen diagonal, large enough to occupy an entire wall of an average living room, but the structure that supports it.

Samsung chose to revisit and modernize a stylistic concept introduced in 2013, the “Timeless Gallery” design. The panel does not simply rest on a base, but appears suspended within a massive metallic frame surrounding the entire screen.

This architectural solution lets the display “float”, turning the TV into a contemporary art piece reminiscent of a window looking out onto another reality.

The structure is not merely aesthetic; it also serves fundamental practical functions. The design allows a slight tilt of the screen to optimize the viewing angle and, not to be overlooked, integrates the TV’s audio system.

Anyone wishing to mount this giant on the wall would discover that the entire frame doubles as a structural and acoustic support, making the installation a permanent and visually striking furnishing element. It’s a bold approach, diverging from the trend of ultra-thin TVs that try to disappear, instead preferring an object that claims its space and its identity within the home.

Micro RGB represents the pinnacle of our innovation in image quality, and the 130-inch model takes this vision even further“, said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “We are revisiting the spirit of our design philosophy, introduced more than a decade ago, to offer a premium display, engineered with next-generation technology.”

The Micro RGB Technology

Technically, the R95H marks the debut of Micro RGB technology at scale. Unlike self-emissive Micro LED panels, this solution uses a VA-type LCD panel (Vertical Alignment) enhanced by Quantum Dot technology and backed by a full-array backlight composed of thousands of micrometric RGB LEDs.

At the core of this system is the “Micro RGB AI Engine Pro” processor, an advanced chip that handles complex algorithms such as the “Micro RGB Color Booster Pro” and the “Micro RGB HDR Pro“.

The goal of this architecture is to offer absolute color fidelity. Samsung claims 100% BT.2020 color space coverage, an impressive milestone promising extremely realistic color reproduction.

AI works constantly to analyze content, improving dull tones and refining contrast both in the brightest and the darkest scenes.

Also, to ensure the experience isn’t compromised by ambient light, the panel is equipped with the proprietary “Glare Free” technology, designed to drastically reduce reflections, making the TV perfectly usable even in very bright environments.

Extensive AI and an Evolved Ecosystem

The hardware innovation is complemented by software that is equally sophisticated. The Tizen operating system, updated with the One UI interface, will benefit from seven years of guaranteed updates, ensuring substantial longevity for the device.

The user experience is enriched by the suite “Vision AI Companion“. The voice assistant Bixby, now powered by large language models (LLMs), is capable of sustaining natural conversations and providing complex responses, supported by native app integrations such as Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity.

AI features also extend to the viewing of sports content with “AI Football Mode Pro“, capable of optimizing colors and contrast for matches, and even isolating or muting the play-by-play commentary, reducing background noise.

Real-time audio translation via “Live Translate” is also available, breaking down language barriers during the viewing of international programs. On the audio front, support for Dolby Atmos and Eclipsa Audio, together with the Q-Symphony technology for synchronization with external soundbars, completes a top-tier multimedia package.

Although Samsung has presented the Micro RGB 130″ as a window into the technological future, it remains to be seen how this giant will position itself in the consumer market.
