The anticipation for Samsung‘s next generation of flagship smartphones seems to be almost over.
After weeks of speculation and silence, the most recent rumors converge toward a single direction: the South Korean giant is ready to unveil the Galaxy S26 line in less than a month, precisely at the end of February.
Although the company has recently published a first teaser that confirms the imminent arrival of the devices, a leak apparently coming from the same internal channels has now removed any doubt about the date of the next big media event.
Analyzing Samsung’s presentation history, there emerges an evident deviation from recent tradition. In recent years, the manufacturer has accustomed the public and industry insiders to scheduled launches between mid and late January, often ahead of the competition.
With the Galaxy S26 lineup, however, the timing has suffered a significant delay.
According to sources, this delay is not accidental but the result of last-minute strategic decisions regarding the composition of the product family.
It seems initial plans included a model “S26 Edge”, which was however shelved in the final stages to make room for the Plus variant. This internal reorganization of the lineup has inevitably required time, pushing the launch further into the calendar.
To provide definitive clarity on the timings, Evan Blass, one of the most authoritative figures in the world of tech leakers, stepped in.
Via the platform X, Blass shared a promotional image of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked that unequivocally shows the date of February 25.
Although an official press release from the Seoul-based company is still lacking, the credibility of the source makes the information practically certain.
Given the distribution of such promotional material, it’s reasonable to expect that Samsung will officially announce the date in the first days of February.
Regarding the location, although the leaked image does not provide geographic coordinates, earlier reports indicate San Francisco, in California, as the chosen stage for the first major event of 2026.
The February 25 event won’t be dedicated exclusively to phones. Rumors confirm that Samsung will take advantage of the spotlight to also present the new generation of true wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the new earbuds will maintain lines similar to those that characterized the previous model, but with important refinements in materials.
The goal seems to be to elevate the perceived quality of the product: indeed, it mentions abandoning plastic finishes, sometimes considered not very premium, in favor of a brushed aluminum coating that will give the stem of the earbuds a decidedly more premium look.
In addition to the design, functional novelties are planned, including the introduction of advanced gesture support for hands-free control.
With the presentation framework now outlined, attention shifts to availability.
Based on the brand’s usual practices, it is very likely that pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 line will open immediately after the event’s conclusion. The actual arrival on shelves, both in physical stores and online, is expected between the end of the first week and the beginning of the second week of March.
Finally, the issue of prices remains, a delicate topic in an economic context marked by component supply shortages.
Despite the current difficulties in sourcing DRAM and NAND memory, it seems Samsung has decided not to raise the Galaxy S26 price.
However, this price stability policy may not be applied uniformly worldwide: in other regions, it is not unlikely that price hikes compared to last year’s models could occur, reflecting the complex dynamics of inflation and the global supply chain.
