Samsung, leaked document does not reassure about the existence of the Galaxy S26 Edge

While the attention of analysts and enthusiasts is focused on the next big launch of the South Korean giant, new evidence seems to confirm a theory that has circulated for some time: the possible cancellation of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge from the upcoming flagship lineup.

Although rumors and prior reports had already cast shadows on the future of this variant, recent internal brand documents now seem to put a definitive end to the matter.

The source of these new speculations lies in a series of internal marketing documents recently brought to light, which outline the company’s launch plans for the coming months.

According to the reports, the promotional material, specifically destined for the Colombian market, clearly lists the devices at the center of future campaigns. Among the names cited are the Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26+ and the top-of-the-line Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, what stands out most is not the presence of these three pillars, but the total absence of any reference to the Edge variant.

This omission does not constitute irrefutable proof of the device’s definitive cancellation for the February launch, nor does it rule out the possibility that a different version could appear later in the year. However, in the context of global launch strategies, the absence of a device in the preliminary marketing documents is a signal that should not be underestimated.

The Galaxy S25 Edge precedent

However, the documents seem not to mention even the Galaxy S25 Edge, while listing other devices from the previous generation.

Since the Galaxy S25 Edge is an existing and concrete phone, its absence could be interpreted as a purely commercial choice: promoting a device that has not enjoyed much popularity might not be considered a wise marketing investment.

This observation leaves open a small ray of doubt. It is possible that Samsung has simply decided not to push commercially the Edge variant in that specific region or campaign, rather than having eliminated it from production plans.

However, the absence of the next-generation model, combined with the current context, appears much more significant than a simple advertising choice.

If one analyzes the absence of the Galaxy S26 Edge in the document in combination with other rumors, the picture becomes clearer and, in some respects, more definitive. Previous reports had already suggested that Samsung was about to accelerate the production timings of the Galaxy S26+, a move that many have interpreted as an emergency measure to fill a gap in the lineup.

The fact that the Edge model is completely missing supports the thesis that the device will not be produced at all. It seems increasingly likely that the company has decided to definitively abandon this variant to focus resources on models that guarantee stronger sales performance.

The strategy of strongly targeting the Plus model could be the direct consequence of the need to reorganize the lineup, sacrificing a model that perhaps did not find its precise place in the market.
