The first stage concerns scratches: the display — protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 — begins to show scratches at Mohs level 6, with deeper grooves at level 7. The phone holds up on par with the most expensive flagships; moreover the under-display fingerprint reader continues to work even after being heavily scratched.

The second phase tests heat resistance: the AMOLED display withstands the flame from a lighter for 25 seconds, without sustaining permanent damage.
