Realme’s 10,000 mAh smartphone could arrive very soon

The smartphone industry is undergoing a quiet yet radical transformation, shifting the battlefield from camera megapixels to pure battery endurance. In this competitive scenario, Realme seems ready to deliver the decisive blow.

After months of speculation and prototypes, the Chinese company is about to commercialize what could be the first mainstream smartphone equipped with a 10,000 mAh battery, a device that promises to sweep away charging anxiety without forcing the user to carry a little brick in their pocket.

The genesis of this project dates back to last year, when the company’s leadership confirmed their intention to launch a device with five-figure battery capacity.

What initially seemed like a futuristic marketing move has turned into tangible reality. Recent sightings on international certification portals have indeed revealed the existence of the model identified by the codename RMX5107.

This device appeared on the site of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), a bureaucratic step that historically precedes the commercial launch by a short margin, suggesting an imminent debut in the Indian market and, presumably, global.

According to sources close to the production chain, the device should belong to Realme’s P series and its introduction could occur as early as the end of the current month.

The single-milliampere challenge and the technical specifications

A detail that emerged from rumors, which reveals a lot about the psychology of competition among Chinese brands, concerns the exact battery capacity: 10,001 mAh. This figure, also confirmed by a recent leak from Russia complete with real photos of the device, is not random.

It exceeds by exactly 1 mAh the models presented by some direct competitors, in a clear declaration of technical supremacy on the board.

Besides the monstrous battery, leaked information outlines a hardware profile of considerable merit. The device, captured in live shots, shows a configuration including 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, although variants with higher specs cannot be ruled out at launch.

The software heart will be entrusted to the new Realme UI 7.0 UI based on Android 16, ensuring an updated and smooth user experience from first boot.

The Silicon-Carbon revolution: goodbye to the ‘bricks’

Perhaps the most revolutionary aspect of this smartphone is not so much the battery capacity, but the way it is contained. Historically, the so-called “battery phones” were niche devices, characterized by significant thickness and excessive weight, often relegated to the rugged sector.

Realme, thanks to the adoption of silicon-carbon technology, has managed to overcome this physical limit.

This technology enables much higher energy density than traditional lithium batteries, allowing more energy to be stored in less space.

The leaked data speak of a thickness of only 8.5 millimeters and a weight of around 215 grams. These are measures comparable to those of a typical current flagship, making the device perfectly manageable in daily use.
