The debut of the brand’s next Camera Phone is becoming increasingly tangible, and this time we have a very clear picture. The new images show what should be the design of OPPO Find X9 Ultra, with a style that effectively makes it a camera, without the need for an additional kit – at least in terms of appearance.
The alleged design of OPPO Find X9 Ultra draws from the series’ past, but upends its meaning. As Find X8 Ultra we have a large circular camera module, which nods to the look of traditional cameras. This time there is a bold addition: the rear cover would be made of glass with leather inserts, in order to create a kind of grip for when the phone is used in landscape orientation (for taking photos).
Rather than using a camera kit, it is the body of the device itself that would offer a comfortable grip. Note that the images in the article are concept renders and not unofficial images: however they would be based on the device’s final look, even though the final (and official) version might differ.
Meanwhile, the spec details are also becoming more in-depth: OPPO Find X9 Ultra would feature a 6.82″ 2K AMOLED display at 120 Hz, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and a capacious 7,300 mAh battery.
The camera setup would consist of four sensors: the main Sony LYT-901 200 MP (1/1.12″ and f/1.5), a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide, and a dual periscope telephoto. It would be an OmniVision OV52A 200 MP with 3x optical zoom and a LYT600 50 MP with 10x optical zoom.
Additionally there would be an external 300 mm telephoto lens for optical extension, with a 1/1,28″ sensor and 13.2x zoom.
The launch of OPPO Find X9 Ultra is planned for early Q2 in China (toward April); this time there would also be a Global version for the Indian market. It remains to be seen whether it will arrive here as well, so for now we can only keep our fingers crossed.
