The new year has opened with a lineup of various brands, but for now there are no updates for Nothing, Carl Pei’s company. Surely 2026 will be a year unique – in a negative sense – as predicted by the CEO himself, with price hikes and few updates, but above all with the end of the race for specifications.
For Nothing, minimal hardware updates are anticipated, and the new models will focus on design and interface. The first smartphone we’ll see will certainly Nothing Phone (4a), and now the mid-range is taking a step forward toward its debut.
Nothing Phone (4a) has been certified: the presentation of the new mid-range draws nearer

As of now the device does not yet have a precise date, but it’s not to be ruled out that it will follow the same path as the previous generation. Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro debuted last March, so this could be the right month. The certifications dedicated to Nothing Phone (4a) have been ongoing since last September and now the TDRA’s certification has been added as well.
The phone appears with the code A069, while in other certifications the bigger sibling appears as A069P. Unfortunately there are no technical details, nor images – so we’ll have to wait even longer before we can learn more.
According to December’s leaks, Nothing’s next smartphones would be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, with prices starting from $475 and 12/256 GB of memory.
