Motorola Edge 70 Fusion also appears on Geekbench, only the official confirmation is missing

In the last few hours, the much-discussed Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has appeared in the Geekbench database, leaving behind concrete traces that confirm not only its existence but also a very interesting set of specifications.

After the rumors that circulated in the past days, this new technical milestone represents the final piece of a puzzle that now seems complete: only the official announcement and the launch date.

The device, internally identified with the codename “Avenger“, has shown its mettle on the well-known benchmark platform, revealing crucial details about its hardware configuration.

The tests indicate the presence of an octa-core processor with a configuration aimed straight toward the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. Specifically, the data show a primary core reaching 2.71 GHz, accompanied by three performance cores at 2.4 GHz and four efficiency cores at 1.8 GHz.

This detail sparks an interesting discussion among experts: although some earlier leaks indicated the use of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, the frequencies recorded on Geekbench suggest that Motorola may have opted for the next generation, guaranteeing a even more pronounced performance leap compared to the predecessor Edge 60 Fusion.

Not only the SoC, the rest of the expected specs

To accompany the chipset we find a whopping 12 GB of RAM, a generous amount that, combined with the native presence of Android 16, promises a smooth user experience and multitasking without stutters.

Besides raw power, Motorola seems to have focused heavily on the quality of the visual experience. The most reliable rumors describe an OLED panel of 6.78 inches quad-curved, an elegant aesthetic solution that minimizes the bezels.

The screen shines not only for its design but also for its technical specs: a 144 Hz refresh rate for maximum smoothness and a peak brightness that could reach 5,200 nits, making content readable even under the brightest sunlight.

The protection is provided by Gorilla Glass 7i, confirming a robust build that also includes IP68 and IP69 certifications.

However, the real twist concerns battery life. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is expected to be equipped with a monstrous 7,000 mAh battery.

That is a substantial increase compared to the 5,500 mAh of the previous model, a choice that positions this smartphone as a potential benchmark for those seeking a device capable of covering two or three days of heavy use without hesitation.

Despite the capacity, the 68W wired fast charging should guarantee fairly short power replenishment times.

On the back of the device there is a 50 MP main camera based on a Sony Lytia sensor, a choice aiming to significantly improve low-light shot quality. For selfies, instead, the setup includes a 32 MP sensor.

Aesthetically, Motorola will continue to stand out for the use of sought-after materials: we’re talking about back panels inspired by the nylon and the linen, with a palette of Pantone colors ranging from the Blue Surf to the Sporting Green.

With such a complete and balanced spec, the Edge 70 Fusion could have all the cards in place to become one of the best-buys of the first half of 2026.
