Last update: 27 March 2026 – After the launch in China in August 2025 it’s time for Western markets to receive Xiaomi’s new mid-range. As usual it is a fairly rich series, with no fewer than five smartphones – compared to the three available in the homeland. Let’s take stock with a substantial recap of all the news: here are all the details on Redmi Note 15, Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+, available in Italy in both 4G and 5G versions.
The rear design of the series Redmi Note 15 Global mirrors in detail the look of the models launched in China: there is a large squared-off camera module positioned in the center of the top part of the chassis, a style that in turn nods to the previous Redmi Note 14.
Things change with the displays, as Western models alternate OLED displays with Dual Edge borders for the base 5G and 4G models to Micro Quad Curved panels, in this case for the Pro variants.
In a moment in which manufacturers are leaning toward flat displays, Xiaomi goes against the trend by delivering two smartphones with Dual Edge displays. An alternative choice for the West: evidently internal market research may have revealed a preference for curved edges among European users.
Compared to the Chinese lineup, for Global markets Lei Jun’s company has adopted the usual strategy: three 5G smartphones and two models with LTE connectivity. The “small” Redmi Note 15 4G and Note 15 Pro 4G mount the chipsets Helio G100 Ultra and G200 Ultra from MediaTek, powered by 6,000 mAh and 6,500 mAh batteries, with 33W and 45W charging.
For the 5G models, Xiaomi has kept the same SoCs as the Chinese devices. Consequently we have the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 for Note 15, the Dimensity 7400 Ultra for Note 15 Pro up to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 with Note 15 Pro+.
The entire range therefore lives between two worlds: Qualcomm and MediaTek SoCs, with basic and mid-range chipset solutions. For the batteries, the 5G models offer units of 5,520 mAh, 6,580 mAh and 6,500 mAh: the first two devices stop at 45W fast charging while for the Pro+ variant a 100W power is reserved.
The Chinese Pro and Pro+ cousins reach up to 7,000 mAh of battery, so the international devices offer a smaller but still substantial capacity; we explain the reason in this deep dive.
The camera department undergoes the most drastic change: the Chinese series stands out for a package that’s really enticing, culminating in a 50 MP Light Fusion 800 sensor and a telephoto lens for the Pro+ variant. In the transition to Italian and European models, the Redmi Note 15 series shows several differences, which you can find in the table below.
In some cases these are minor changes, but in the case of the telephoto camera cut to Pro+ it’s a huge difference.

The presentation of the Redmi Note 15 series took place on January 6 in the Global version while in Italy it arrived on January 15. The smartphones show some differences in the camera department: the Indian (Global) models are equipped with a third macro lens of 2 MP, but apart from this detail aesthetics and specifications are identical.
