HONOR officially presented MagicOS 11 at the Global Developer Conference 2026, defining it as the first Android interface to achieve a true Liquid Glass effect. Based on Android 17, the new UI introduces animations up to 20% smoother than MagicOS 10, a much more autonomous Yoyo AI assistant, and several new features in storage, charging and connectivity.

Luminous Architecture and Hummingbird framework: Liquid Glass arrives on Android
At the core of the new visual effect is the Luminous Architecture (also called “Glazed Architecture” in some translations), which rebuilds from scratch how Android 17 handles graphics to achieve a more transparent interface, with a pre-planned unified rendering and the ability for the user to adjust transparency without complicated steps, all without increasing power consumption, according to HONOR.
The architecture supports six levels of effects and over 40 adjustable parameters, allowing you to modify transparency, lighting, movements and the overlay of the elements that make up the interface.

Within this, the Hummingbird framework is included to improve animations, transitions and the interface’s responsiveness to user commands. It is based on a new physical model that handles bounces with variable parameters and cascading bounce models, contributing to a claimed improvement in smoothness up to 20% compared to MagicOS 10 on all supported models.
Multi-Protocol Wireless Charging and Storage Space 2.0: Up to 60 GB Freed
MagicOS 11 also introduces multi-protocol wireless charging support, making the wireless charging experience more efficient. On the storage front, the new Storage Space 2.0 generation offers lossless compression of stored data and automatic cleaning of redundant files, freeing up to 60 GB of storage.
Hongyan AI Cloud Map: Automatically Optimized Network and Dual Bluetooth Earphones
Among connectivity features, Hongyan AI Cloud Map stands out, designed to automatically select the best available network and improve the user experience, especially in low-signal scenarios.
Yoyo AI more autonomous and connectivity with Apple, OPPO, vivo and Xiaomi
The assistant Yoyo AI becomes smarter and more proactive: now it is able to remember the instructions given and to execute accurate commands automatically, recognizing, for example, package pickup codes and travel reminders, without the user having to search for them manually among messages and apps.
HONOR declares that Yoyo AI is configured to handle over 1,000 use cases, with integration to over 10,000 third-party AI services (at least in China), and is capable of autonomously carrying out complex tasks of up to 100 steps.
The assistant also integrates with smart home devices, supports cross-platform file transfer, and can handle AI calls, generate schedules, and to-do lists.On the multi-platform connectivity front, MagicOS 11 offers file sharing and seamless connectivity with devices in the Apple ecosystem, as well as those from OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi.
Compatible Devices and Release Timelines
MagicOS 11 will debut on the upcoming smartphones of the HONOR Magic 9 series (coming to China on September 28), but the public beta is already open for over 18 devices, including the Magic 8 series, Magic V6 and the HONOR 600 models.
A second list of devices eligible for enrollment in the internal beta includes the Magic 6 series, HONOR Magic V3, HONOR 400, and the HONOR 500 series. The next wave of devices is expected between October and November. Below you will find the full list of supported smartphones, with the beta release period (in China).
