The digital era has transformed the way personal memories are stored, while preserving the interest in the physical format.
Fujifilm and Google have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at integrating high-quality print production within the well-known image management app.
The new online service, named “Fujifilm for Google Photos Print Store“, represents a union between the 90 years of experience of the Japanese company in the photographic sector and the great capabilities of the tech giant.
Fujifilm will handle printing for Google Photos

The agreement provides that Fujifilm will assume the full management of the online store, customer support, development of the commercial catalog, and marketing activities.
Users of the application will be able to access a better service directly and intuitively, conveniently operating within the interface they already use daily for their multimedia files.
The project stems from the explicit aim of offering the public a co-branded online store perfectly integrated between the two systems. Fujifilm will manage the commercial and production operations of the service, unifying nearly a century of expertise with the partner’s digital tools.
Shin Udono, Senior Vice President of Imaging Solutions at Fujifilm Europe, together with Bing Liem of the North American division, have confirmed how this collaboration brings together advanced technologies and tradition to facilitate maximum ease of use for the end customer.
The new platform will share a native visual identity, enabling users to enjoy a cohesive experience with no graphic or functional jumps.
Users will have the possibility to transform their shots into physical products of excellent quality.
Novel Products
The new commercial space will not be limited to traditional prints, but will significantly enrich the range of available items, pushing well beyond the previous offering.
Through the screen of their device, people will be able to order a wide range of products, spanning from novel print formats to elegant frames, up to home decor items and giftware.
A key factor of this new operation lies in the use of the smart features provided by the application itself.
Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President of Google Photos, has emphasized how the ecosystem will continue to automatically surface the most relevant images, suggesting personalized printing opportunities to celebrate the most meaningful moments.
This approach will avoid complex steps, such as manually uploading photographs into the store, ensuring an automatic and immediate link between the personal gallery and the purchasing system.
Release Timelines
The launch of the new printing service follows a carefully planned schedule to progressively cover the various international target markets.
In the United States, distribution of the platform updated for end users began at the end of August 2026. In Europe, however, the service will be available to consumers starting in October 2026.
This wide and complex business operation is supported by Fujifilm’s substantial organizational strength, a group that in the EMEA region alone has more than 7,500 active employees across more than 75 subsidiaries and branches.
