POCO has officially unveiled its new flagship series, comprising POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro. The most notable novelty concerns gaming, with a peak frame rate of 185 FPS, but the lineup also brings important updates to the display, camera, battery and audio, the latter thanks to the renewal of the partnership with Bose.
POCO F9 Series Official: what changes with the new Ultra and Pro flagships
Both models are based on Qualcomm’s latest mobile platforms, with POCO F9 Ultra powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and an AnTuTu score of 4.165.108, the highest ever recorded on the brand’s smartphone.
On the POCO F9 Pro we find instead the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series, an alternative version of the SoC with a few compromises (minimal).
For the first time in the F Series, the flagship processor is paired with the dedicated VisionBoost D8 chipset, which enables the smart frame rate up to 185 Hz and gaming at 185 FPS via the technology WildBoost Engine, available natively on over 20 titles.
The display POCO HyperRGB AMOLED reaches the same 185 Hz refresh rate on both models, with POCO F9 Ultra on a 6.9″ panel and POCO F9 Pro on a 6.59″ panel, both capable of reaching up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
On the photography front, the POCO F9 range introduces the brand’s first Ultra-Clear 200 MP camera system, with OIS on both models: the POCO F9 Ultra adds a 5x periscope telephoto lens with AI Ultra Zoom up to 20x, while the POCO F9 Pro mounts a floating 50 MP telephoto lens capable of focusing from as close as 10 cm.
The battery marks another record for the series: 8,050 mAh on the POCO F9 Ultra, with a declared endurance of 2 days, compared to the 6,330 mAh of the POCO F9 Pro. Both models share the HyperCharge system, with wired charging at 100W and wireless at 50W.
The audio chapter is further enriched thanks to Sound by Bose: POCO F9 Ultra pairs dual stereo speakers with an independent subwoofer for a 2.1-channel experience, while the smaller F9 Pro opts for a Sealed Cavity Design for rich mids and crisp highs.
On the design side, POCO F9 Ultra introduces a customizable dynamic rear light, while the Aurora Green variant of POCO F9 Pro brings the brand’s first luminous rear panel, with customizable patterns via a blue-violet laser pointer sold separately.

POCO F9 Ultra is available today on Mi.com and Amazon in the colors Dark Cherry and Black, in variants 12/256 GB, 16/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB, at a list price starting from €1,099.90.
