iQOO X: the concept with a 15,000 mAh battery and extreme hardware

iQOO pushes gaming smartphone concept even further and internally unveils the new concept phone iQOO X, a device designed to anticipate technologies that, for now, remain distant from commercial production.

The project is shown as a true showcase of the brand’s future, but, curiously, the brand has behaved as with an official announcement (even revealing the price).

The first element that defines the extreme nature of the iQOO X is the chipset. The concept uses a purported Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro, paired with a proprietary chip dedicated to e-sports called the QX.

Qualcomm is preparing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro for the next real-generation flagship, which is why this platform represents a projection of several generations into the future.

Even more extreme is the battery. The iQOO X includes a solid-state unit of a remarkable 15,000 mAh, nicknamed the “Blue Ice Battery”. A capacity like this, combined with solid-state technology, is not currently available on commercial smartphones and represents one of the most evident elements of the device’s experimental nature.

The display is a LTPO 6.0 panel of 7″ with 2K+ resolution and a refresh rate up to 240 Hz. iQOO also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor extended to half the screen, a touch sampling rate up to 4,800 Hz, and an AI Dynamic Partition Refresh feature capable of handling different refresh rates across the display.

On the photographic front, the concept doesn’t disappoint either. The configuration includes a 200 MP Sony main sensor, a Samsung 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP Samsung ultra-wide sensor.

During the internal presentation, some physical prototypes are also shown, useful to give a first idea of the possible structure and design of the device.

How much does the iQOO of the future cost?

iQOO X has even a price list, despite being a concept. The 12/512 GB configuration is listed at 6,999 yuan, about 900€ at the exchange rate, while the 16/512 GB version rises to 7,399 yuan, about 952€.

The 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage variant costs 7,799 yuan, about 1,003€, while the top 24 GB/1 TB version reaches 8,599 yuan, equivalent to 1,106€. The shown colorways are Black and White.

Still, it’s important to consider the iQOO X for what it is: a concept designed to showcase a possible future direction, not a smartphone intended for commercialization.

The specifications, therefore, belong to an experimental project and do not necessarily represent features we will see on a real model.
