The anticipation for the next chapter of the famous Rockstar Games saga grows with a new, unexpected piece.

On August 27, fans will be able to attend a special presentation titled “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look“, which will debut in an exclusive preview on the streaming platform Netflix.

This unprecedented deal will allow subscribers to get an in-depth look at GTA VI six hours before the video is released on the developer’s official channels, confirming the game’s enormous media impact, in development for over 13 years.

The Netflix broadcast is scheduled for 21:00 Italian time. Later, at 02:00 the following day, the video will also be released on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the game’s official site.

At the moment, neither company has provided details on the exact duration of the presentation or on the specific content that will be shown.

However, Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s Vice President of Nonfiction Series, has stressed that announcements related to this franchise have become true cultural events for global audiences.

The executive expressed great enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the platform’s willingness to position itself as the ideal home for high-level storytelling, regardless of the original format.

13 years of waiting and the details of the adventure

In development for more than a decade, the sixth main installment of the series has so far been revealed through only two promotional trailers, released in December 2023 and May 2025, without offering any concrete gameplay sequences.

The official synopsis foreshadows an adventure set in Vice City and in the entire state of Leonida, with leads Jason and Lucia. The two youths will find themselves entangled in a conspiracy with dark overtones within the sunniest part of the United States, forced to rely solely on each other to survive.

The developer has noted that the initial edition will focus entirely on the single-player experience, omitting for now any reference to a multiplayer component.
