The Chinese tech giant is working on a new model in the lineup called Huawei Nova 16 SE, the fifth member of the family. The device has appeared in some live shots that reveal the color variants and hint at what should be the final look — with a design that changes radically compared to the rest of the lineup and winks… at Honor!

The aesthetics of the new Huawei seems to draw heavily from Honor Power 2, a battery phone with a 10,088 mAh battery launched in China in January. The back is characterized by a wide rectangular island, raised above the rest of the chassis, housing a triple-camera array and the LED flash, a look very different from that of the other Nova 16.
The phone has been captured in four different colors: the white and black tones are sober and elegant, while the orange and blue models represent the boldest choice — completing a gradient effect reminiscent of the Pura 90 Pro series.
The official debut is expected in the coming weeks, but so far no date has been announced. The Huawei Nova 16 SE is expected to feature a Kirin 8020 chipset, a flat LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 50 MP camera and a silicon-carbon battery of 8,500 mAh.
