Following the launch of Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, information from Asia outlines an imposing plan for Samsung in 2027.
According to rumors, the company will release as many as 8 high-end devices, evenly split between traditional-form-factor smartphones and foldable solutions.
Among the most notable novelties is the consolidation of the Galaxy Z TriFold 2, which will shed its status as a limited edition to enter the brand’s regular catalog.

The Korean outlet ETNews reveals that the phone giant will adopt a two-phase approach, based on 4 premium phones in the first half of the year and another 4 foldable models in the second half.
On the traditional devices front, the Galaxy S27 family will expand to include a quartet of variants: the base Galaxy S27, the Galaxy S27 Plus model, the new Galaxy S27 Pro and the ever-present Galaxy S27 Ultra. This wide offering confirms the company’s intent to firmly dominate the high end of the market by offering increasingly differentiated sizes and features.
As for foldable devices, the reports dismiss recent rumors that the clamshell series would have stopped with the current iteration. 2027 will instead see the arrival of the Galaxy Z Flip 9, accompanied by the Galaxy Z Fold 9 and its Ultra version.
The standout element will be the Galaxy Z TriFold 2. Development work on this device has already begun and the parent company has shared initial directives with component suppliers.
The intention is to present this new family of foldables at a joint event, likely in July next year, discarding the idea of a separate special launch.
Rising production volumes
The dimensions and display specifications of the upcoming TriFold 2 should remain essentially identical to those of the first model shown at CES 2026, but a strong production ramp-up is expected.
After gauging public interest with a limited initial print run for the first generation, the Asian company is ready to ramp up stock.
Being a program outlined with more than 12 months lead time, the roadmap could naturally undergo changes, but the direction toward a rich offering of 8 top-tier devices remains clear and defined.
