Uncompromising camera with vivo X Fold 6: far from just a foldable!

The debut of vivo X Fold 6 is approaching: the Asian company has not yet confirmed the release date but the launch is planned for this month. To tease enthusiasts, the brand has previewed various features of the phone and among them the first shots also emerge. Despite the book-style foldable format, vivo has managed to fit inside the chassis a camera system of considerable quality – a true Camera Phone!

vivo X Fold 6, here’s how the new foldable shoots: the company releases the first camera samples

In addition to publishing the first samples of the vivo X Fold 6 camera, the Chinese company has confirmed several features of the camera system. The main sensor is a Samsung HPB 200 MP (f/1.68, 1/1.4″) made in collaboration with vivo, the same one on board the X300 and X300 Pro (respectively as main and tele).

There is CIPA-level 4.5 optical image stabilization, while for the first time vivo has implemented a Zeiss APO periscope telephoto (a Sony LYT-602 sensor) on a foldable device. Among other features we find the proprietary ISP V3+ and the support for the Vivo Zeiss G2 200 mm external telephoto .

Let’s talk about a true Camera Phone in foldable form factor: to take a look at the samples in their original format you can download them via this link.

The foldable will have on board the chipset Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, a customized version of MediaTek’s latest flagship solution. The inner display will be an 8.02-inch diagonal unit, built with Samsung’s M14 technology and equipped with a peak brightness of 5,000 nits (starting from a minimum of 1 nit).

Rumor has it that there is a 6,900 mAh battery, a capacity particularly interesting for an ultra-thin foldable (featuring a top-of-the-line Camera Phone compartment).
