Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra could have a design that borrows from the past

The Asian manufacturer is known for its cautious approach to the Galaxy S series phones, and yet the latest rumors talk of a possible change in appearance. The next flagship generation should introduce a new design, or at least these would be the intentions (but for now with many uncertainties).

The insider Ice Universe, one of the most reliable voices in the tech scene, teases brand enthusiasts by showing the possible look of Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, with a throwback. What do you think of a style like that?

Clearly it’s fine to take the image above as a style exercise: the aesthetics draw inspiration from the iconic Samsung Galaxy S10+, last of the old guard. After this one there was the transition to the Galaxy S20 family, with the introduction of the Ultra model (which would become the heir to the Galaxy Note).

The alleged Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra imagined by Ice Universe features a large capsule-shaped camera module oriented horizontally and placed at the top center of the back. The device sports a look in line with current trends: straight-edged borders and a large flat screen with a central hole for the selfie camera.

Unsurprisingly the slot for the S Pen, an indispensable accessory that has now taken on a symbolic value for Samsung enthusiasts (in addition to its undeniable practical usefulness).

This new design could be the compromise that allows the current identity of the series to be preserved, while freeing up space in a portion of the back of the phone, such that it would allow the magnets integrated.

What do you think about the hypothetical design of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra? Are you in favor of returning to the style of the iconic S10+, or would you prefer a different solution?
