Typically September is dedicated to the Xiaomi T series, characterized by flagships with MediaTek processors – without sacrificing Leica camera hardware. This year as well it won’t be an exception, but the debut would have been brought forward to May.
To prove this, Xiaomi 17T has already appeared on Geekbench and now also surfaces in a certification. This is quite important as it confirms the design of the new mid-range flagship series, complete with its commercial name.
Xiaomi 17T spotted in a live photo, thanks to a certification: how the design will change

The look shown by the live photos reveals an aesthetic almost identical to that of the Xiaomi 15T Pro. The device is characterized by straight edges, rounded corners and a Squircle camera module containing a trio of sensors; the LED flash is positioned externally, beside the module. The front, almost certainly occupied by a punch-hole display, has not been shown.
The documentation lists both the model number 2602DPT53G and the commercial name, leaving no doubt: this is indeed the Xiaomi 17T, the base version of the new series. We know the device will not arrive alone but will be accompanied by the bigger Xiaomi 17T Pro.

The only oddity concerns the cameras: looking at the top photo you can glimpse a periscopic telephoto lens, usually dedicated to the Pro variant. The standard phone is expected to feature a classic telephoto lens, but it isn’t out of the question that Xiaomi has decided to narrow the differences between the two smartphones.
The certification refers to the Brazilian market, where the box will include a 67W charger. The battery should be a 6,500 mAh unit, based on what has emerged so far, with a clear improvement over the 5,500 mAh of the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro.

Recently the device appeared on Geekbench with the Dimensity 8500 chipset on board, in line with the usual specs of the line. Below you will find a compilation of rumors about the new smartphones, with all the details leaked so far.
