After the debut of Edge 70 and Edge 70 Fusion, it is time to say goodbye to the new flagship version of the series. Motorola Edge 70 Pro has been announced in India and arrives with various improvements over the base variant: while the design front remains almost unchanged, under the hood we have numerous changes starting from the switch to MediaTek. Here are all the novelties, while we wait to learn more about the launch in our latitudes.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro: everything there is to know about technical specifications, price and global release

The typical aesthetic of the Edge series doesn’t change: the latest arrival features a Squircle camera (that is, square but with rounded corners) and a display with curved edges and a punch hole for the selfie camera. To distinguish it from the smaller brother we have three splendid Pantone colorways – namely Lily White, Titan and Tea – each with a different finish.
The new Motorola Edge 70 Pro adds everything a higher-end variant should have: the display is wider, the silicon-carbon battery is much more capacious and fast charging is also boosted. The camera system is almost unchanged, while on the performance side the ball is in MediaTek’s court.

The phone is equipped with an AMOLED 6.8″ diagonal display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a peak brightness of 5,200 nits – for maximum visibility even in sunlight. At the heart of it is the Dimensity 8500 Extreme, supported by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, and powered by a 6,500 mAh battery.
Wired fast charging increases to 90W, but the device loses wireless charging; meanwhile there’s 5W reverse charging, useful to turn the new Moto into an emergency power bank.

The main camera is a 50 MP LYT-710 sensor with optical image stabilization and an ultra-wide-angle lens. Motorola has also added a multispectral sensor, useful for improving the color accuracy of shots. Finally, on the front, there is a 50 MP selfie camera with autofocus.
The price of Motorola Edge 70 Pro starts at around €354 at the current exchange rate, for the 8/256 GB version; the 12/512 GB model rises to around €381 at the exchange rate. The figures refer to the Indian market, the only one where the device has been launched (at least for now).
Earlier, render leaks of Edge 70 Pro+ surfaced, along with rumors about the existence of a Pro Lite variant. The launch of these phones is likely to take place at a later date, so we await news.
