During the prestigious Milan Design Week, the historic German-origin brand Teka presents itself to the public with an evocative installation located in Piazza Gae Aulenti, accessible from April 21 to 26.
The company, founded in Germany in 1924 and having joined the Midea Group in 2025, developed for the event the project “Memoteca – A Teka Journey” in collaboration with the firm XPO Designs.
The initiative aims to tell the kitchen’s story as a true container of memory, culture and daily life.
Teka at Fuorisalone 2026: outstanding collaborations between art and automotive

Inside the installation, two projects emerge particularly in synergy with internationally prominent realities. On one side stands out the line Infinity | G1 Edition, developed together with the studio Italdesign founded by Giorgetto Giugiaro, a real reference point for the car and product design sector.
The aesthetics of this collection are characterized by the use of black glass, steel, matte black finishes and delicate copper details, creating a formal balance of great elegance.
Among the features of the integrated system stands out the oven HLB 85-G1 P BM, which incorporates the function MaestroPizza, an innovation capable of reaching temperatures of 340°C in short times to bake up to ten pizzas in just 30 minutes.
On the other side, the space hosts the Van Gogh Museum Edition, an exclusive collection that pays homage to the famous Dutch painter. Drawing inspiration from the color palettes of the work “Sunflowers“, the series features a distinctive champagne color finish enriched by specific graphic details that recall the artist’s style.
Included in this proposal is the 70-liter Maestro oven with net capacity, equipped with nine cooking functions and the SoftClose closure, as well as an induction hob with 5 cooking zones, of which two are flexible.
To this, the iconic freestanding mini-fridge is added, boasting a retro silhouette and a wide circular handle.
Innovation and freestanding solutions
The exhibit continues by illustrating the advanced performance of freestanding appliances designed for storage, preparation and care of textiles. The refrigerator RBF 88695 SLN SS in stainless steel uses the Metal Cooling technology to ensure uniform cold distribution, enriching the visual experience with the aesthetic detail known as T-Jewel.
For coffee lovers, the automatic machines offer advanced systems for everyday gestures: the model CMF 4F08A DI indeed features the Master Froth system for milk and the technology Aroma Lock to preserve the beans’ freshness.
The exhibition path also embraces the washing area, presenting washing machines and heat-pump dryers capable of handling 10 kg loads, alongside the DFS 866AD dishwasher, which guarantees particularly quiet operation with a sound emission limited to 42 dB.
A participatory experience with “Teka Memories”
Beyond the physical display, the installation takes on a strongly interactive character through the format “Teka Memories”, direct expression of the global campaign “Eternal Flavour“.
Visitors are invited to share their own recipe or the flavor that most reminds them of the concept of home and familial ties. This narrative is realized through an open casting to the public to select the new face of the Italian version of the brand’s advertisement.
The casting sessions take place at specific times of the week: Tuesday and Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00, and the Thursday afternoon from 14:00 to 17:00.
Ilaria Sgrò, Head of Marketing Italy & Eastern Europe at Midea, underscored how this direct involvement aims to translate the communication toward a strongly authentic and participatory dimension, recognizing the kitchen for its fundamental emotional and identity value.
